Galen Heard
Galen Heard has spent 25+ years earning his living inside the arc. He cut his teeth on shutdowns and turnarounds at refineries, coal-fired power houses, fossil power houses, and nuclear power houses, where the schedule is unforgiving, the metallurgy doesn't leave room for error, and a bad weld doesn't just fail — it shuts a unit down. Chrome-moly, stainless, high-pressure process line: the alloys a lot of shops turn away are where Galen has spent most of his career.
He carried that same discipline into structural steel, framing buildings and welding connections that carry real load, because a structural beam doesn't get a second chance either. Twenty-five-plus years of refinery, power house, and structural work taught him one thing above all else: there's no such thing as "close enough" when people's safety depends on the weld holding.
Galen founded Heard Specialty Welding to bring that same refinery-grade standard home to LaGrange and West Georgia — structural steel, custom gates, ornamental ironwork, pipe, and fabrication work of every kind. If it needs to be strong, straight, and built to outlast the warranty, it's the kind of job he's spent his whole career getting right.
